How Your Character can Change the World
Alignment in Infinite Dream Kaimel
The moral/ethical alignment system usually used for D&D will not be entirely utilized in this campaign. This is mostly due to its tendency to restrict how players roleplay their characters.
To that end, players are NOT required to choose an alignment when making their characters. Instead, the actions of the player character will determine his moral/ethical standing.
Classes that require a particular alignment may require a player roleplay the required alignment, but not perfectly. For example, a barbarian might use his head once in awhile to cause more mayhem, or a paladin might flirt with a lady since his order has no set rules on the matter. Such quirks are encouraged and will not affect the alignment of the character so long as that character follows his/her alignment for the most part.
Spells that affect or are affected by alignment will continue to work normally. Detection of alignment might not be foolproof, however.
